This course is designed for the student who has experience in conducting walks in areas with potentially dangerous game and meets the minimun requirements for number of encounters on foot as a back-up trails guide and hours in the field. Please be aware that these requirements differ for FGASA and BOTA. This is a 16 day course that includes training and assessment on advanced rifle handling as well as training and assessment in the ability of the student to lead a group of people into a sighting with potentially dangerous game in a safe and responsible manner in such a way that an experience is created for the guests and the impact on the animals is at a minimum. As with the Assistant Trails Guide course, we aim to spend as much time in the field walking, tracking and approaching potentially dangerous game.
